Today was a busy day! I had an appointment at my OB office at 9:30 (which never seemed early until I had a baby – getting out of the house takes a lot longer now), then went to the breastfeeding support group, home for a nap, back to the OB office to pick up Jack’s birth record certificate that my OB signed, over to Mosgo’s Coffee Shop where the owner and an employee both oohed and aahed over Jack, and finally to Recycled Youth where I picked up some more cloth diapers and baby clothes (Jack’s first pair of overalls and a Peter Rabbit outfit with shorts). Half of those errands I did on my own without my MIL and I felt very proud and capable! It’s nice to know that I can get out of the house with the little mister without help!
Also something to be proud of – I wore non-maternity clothes today! I am wearing a pair of pants that are a size bigger than my regular size, but I’m comfortable with that. I need to get some new shirts, though. Old Navy is having their 20% off whatever you can fit in the bag sale, so I will have to check it out.
My father-in-law is flying back in tonight. He’s been pretty excited about meeting Jack. Hopefully he’ll get some good pictures, too!
