Growing up too quickly

I was just browsing through Jack’s online photo album and got to this picture.  He just looks way too grown up in this one, more little boy than baby.  How did this happen?

At least we still have photos like this one, taken last night.  He flipped himself 180 degrees from where we laid him, just to worry me, I’m sure.  I had to keep checking on him because every half hour or so he would scoot closer to the foot of the bed.  Apparently he’s going to be one of THOSE kids, the ones that practice acrobatics in bed.

  1. Sam is like that. He gets it from me. My mother called me her windmill baby and I call Sam the same. Do you and Joe peek at him all evening just to see what funny position he’s in? We do and sometimes I have to stuff my fist in my mouth to keep from laughing and waking him up.

  2. This is the first time he’s moved significantly while sleeping! I think he must have crawling on the brain. The funniest part was that we had the baby monitor on (I’ve only just started using it now that he can crawl because he’s already crawled off the bed once) and I didn’t hear him moving at all. I went in to check on him because he had been sleeping so long and found him in this position. Funny kid.

  3. That second picture is so damn cute!
