Wow, good job!

Little Red self-weaned at 19 months. Boy Blue will easily be 2 years old before he's done, but I'm not sureh how much I can handle more than that. I'm starting to feel "done." I never thought I'd be the one to pull the plug, but as he's been so sick for the past month we've spent a few weeks breastfeeding exclusively.

I hope I can do it the way you did. Lovingly and at the right time. I knew from the beginning that he wouldn't do it like his brother had done.

I could have written this post. We were down to her nursing 3 minutes in the morning, first thing and a lot of it was more playing than nursing when I decided it was time to stop, that we both were ready. 3 days went by without her asking and then she did and I also said they were broken and got kisses. She asked randomly a few times over the next few months but like you said, the extra snuggles worked wonders and we developed a different morning routine that replaced it. My only question is now in June when the new baby arrives, will she remember that they were broken and think, Hey wait a minute....but I'm not really worried.
:)
Congrats on doing it the best way for you and Jack.
