About

Ewokmama is a late 20’s California mom who in person goes by Crystal.  She is divorced and enjoys shared custody of her brilliant, silly, buoyant kid Jack (born in July 2006).  Crystal’s amazing fiance David joined this cast late 2009 and is incredible stepfather.  Most of the events detailed in this blog take place in San Francisco.

This blog is filled with documentation of our family’s zany adventures. Occasionally there is useful information for the less seasoned parents out there, but mostly this is a place to share the triumphs and tribulations in this life path with little people.  This blog is about adapting to and exploring the whole parenting gig; audience participation and dialog are encouraged and appreciated!

Crystal loves writing and participates in many online ventures.  You can also find her over at Savvy Source San Francisco as the City Guide/Editor and in the weekly blog column “The Frugal Family” on savings.com.

Hi, stumbled across this when searching the book/site babyproof your marriage. You might really enjoy a blog by a woman called veronica robinson. She is editor of The Mother magazine, published in the UK> sounds like it fits your philosophies. Also, I donated milk to premmie twins last year…this is pretty out there where I come from (no way would a NZ hospital have a bank!). Good on you for promoting it.

Hey there! Thanks for the wonderful site. I really appreciate having advice from a mom who also comes from the philosophy of attachment parenting, green living, etc. I found your site while looking for info on how to begin pumping. As a new mom, I really crave hearing realistic stories and practical advice. Thanks for all the great info!!

YOu know, I can’t believe you’re still breastfeeding; that is soooo cool! How do you do it? How long will you go?

Thank you. I have to start by thanking you for posting your guilt guilt guilt post. I am new to this blog world in the beginning stages of setting up my own blog, a place for me to get my thoughts out. I have to be honest that I have felt the same sense of guilt for more then 8 of your statements. Its nice to hear that I am not the only mom on the planet that has had these feelings. Like I said I am new to this blog world, My gosh what I have been missing, there are so many of us Moms just trying to figure it out. Anyway, thank you for your post.
